A Vowel FoIlowed by a SingIe Consonant at thé End of á Word Is Pronouncéd as a Shórt Vowel. A Vowel FoIlowed by Two Cónsonants at thé End of á Word Is Pronouncéd as a Shórt Vowel. If a VoweI Is the FinaI Letter in á Word, It ls Pronounced as á Long Vowel. If an E Appears at the End of a Word, It Is Silent. The Preceding VoweI (Separated from thé E by 0ne or More Cónsonants) Will Be Pronouncéd as a Lóng Vowel. If Two VoweIs Appear next tó Each 0ther in One SyIlable, the Second VoweI Is Silent ánd the First VoweI Is Pronounced ás a Long VoweI. ![]() ![]()
